✦ Synopsis
This paper studies the sensitivity behaviour of the sinter metal packed bed reactor for the methane catalytic combustion. The mathematical model of the reactor can be viewed as a conjugated G-raetz problem. The reaction zone is described by the pseudo-homogeneous two-dimensional model with radial dispersion. The cooling media domains are modelled by the thermal linear boundary layer equation and an ODE The sensitivity criteria developed by Morbidelli and Varma ( 1988 ) and Vajda and Rabitz ( 1992 ) arc tested. The boundaries of the sensitivity region in the spaces YA0 -T0,r and YA0 -T0a are reported.
