In turn, this was only one of the many parts he played leading to the establishment of sound and vibration studies and research as distinct and essential ingredients in contemporary university faculties of engineering and applied science. Of course we will miss his presence among us. Continuation of his work in developing the scientific and technological knowledge of sound and vibration will keep us and generations after us busily, usefully and happily occupied. He has left an enduring legacy.
