was lucky enough to be invited to spend some time with his collaborators at the Department of Physics at the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil. He was there to give help and advice on the growth aspects of MBF but he was also able to gather some impression of the general state of semiconductor physics R&D in that exotic country.
