The static and dynamic problems of an imperfectly bonded, orthotropic, piezoelectric laminate in cylindrical bending are investigated based on the equations of piezoelasticity. A general spring layer is adopted to model the bonding imperfection at the interfaces of the laminate. A recently proposed

β¦ Synopsis
We have studied the equilibrium problem of an orthotropic cylindrical shell in the design of composite materials -the draping of textile composites over surface of revolution. The shell undergoes large displacements during the draping process and the radius of the mould surface of revolution is the prescribed radius. Using suitable kinematic assumptions, we reduce the components of the local displacement field from three to one and space variables from two to one. Semi-analytical solutions to the above-mentioned reduced problem are given. 0 Elsevier, Paris textile composiks I orthotropic shell I Lagrangian formulation
