## Abstract **Summary:** Amphiphilic diblock copolymers consisting of a hydrophilic block, poly(acrylic acid), and a hydrophobic block, polystyrene, were synthesized by direct nitroxideโ€mediated polymerization using the PS block as a macroโ€initiator for the first time.
