✦ Synopsis

Abstract

The approach of forming self‐assembled monolayers on the surface of fused silica capillaries has been evaluated for capillary electrophoresis of proteins. Two polymer matrices (polymerized acrylamide or methacryloyl‐Tris) were successfully grafted on the self‐assembled monolayers, as evidenced by electroosmotic flow measurements and efficient separations of model proteins.
