β¦ Synopsis
Selectors on F(X) are studied. Non-Archimedean P -spaces with a continuous selector are shown to be precisely scattered spaces (or topologically well-orderable ones). Several results are given for spaces with a unique accumulation point p; e.g., if the filter of its neighborhoods (without p) is a sum two free ultrafilters then the existence of a continuous selector for all such spaces is equivalent to the non-existence of a measurable cardinal.

In this paper, we define the concept of C-scattered fuzzy topological spaces and obtain some properties about them. In particular, we study the relation between C-scattered spaces and its fuzzy extension, it is proved that C-scattered fuzzy topological spaces are invariant by fuzzy' perfect maps, an
It was proved by Dow and Simon that there are 2"' (as many as possible) pairwise nonhomeomorphic compact, T2, scattered spaces of height WI and width w. In this paper, we prove that if cy is an ordinal with WI < 01 < w2 and 19 = (KC: [ < cx) is a sequence of cardinals such that either KC = w or KC =
Under certain assumptions on the compactly supported function f Β₯ C(R d ), we propose two methods of selecting a function s from the scaled principal shiftinvariant space S h (f) such that s interpolates a given function f at a scattered set of data locations. For both methods, the selection scheme
We prove that if GCH holds and Ο = ΞΊΞ± : Ξ± < Ξ· is a sequence of infinite cardinals such that ΞΊΞ± β₯ |Ξ·| for each Ξ± < Ξ·, then there is a cardinal-preserving partial order that forces the existence of a scattered Boolean space whose cardinal sequence is Ο .
