Abstract
X‐rays in doses of 3000r inhibit the regeneration which normally occurs from the margins of full thickness rabbit ear holes. Irradiated ears containing unirradiated cartilaginous sheets regenerate new tissue, including cartilage, nearly as well as controls. Selective irradiation of the cartilaginous layer in an otherwise unirradiated ear also permits in‐growth, but no chondrogenes is occurs.
