New poly(vinyl chloride) PVC membrane electrodes selective to the hexadecyltrimethylammonium ion (CTA + ) and sodium dodecyl ion (SD -) have been constructed using a modified single walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT). This sensor was used as a sensing material and incorporated into the plasticized PVCme
