## Abstract The mineralogy and related chemistry of selected lake and stream sediments from the upper Qu'Appelle River basin in southern Saskatchewan, Canada, was examined. The principal crystalline clay minerals present in the colloidal fractions of the sediments are smectite, vermiculite, kaolini
