✦ Synopsis

The fluorescence excitation and dispersed fluorescence spectra of the complexes of p-dtmethoxybenzene with various non-polar and polar solvent molecules prepared by supersomc expansion have been measured. It was found that only the cis isomer of the molecule selectively forms the complexes with the polar solvent molecules, whtle both the cis and trans isomers form then complexes with the non-polar solvent molecules.
