✦ Synopsis

A new technique is reported for left-sided hepatic resection that allows quick inflow control and thus avoids the need for hilar dissection before parenchymal division. Patients with an aberrant left hepatic artery originating from the left gastric artery', especially with previous upper abdominal surgery, are the best candidates for this technique.
