✦ Synopsis

In the reactions of dichlorocarbene, nitrosyi chloride, and Osmium tetroxide with representative acyclic alkenes, alkene first ionization potentials (IP's) are correlated against log alkene relative reactivities (krel'S). Each reaction gives a single line of correlation, which includes all alkenes studied regardless of the degree of substitution.
