Many of the publications cited here are in the collection of the NRC. Funded by NLM, the NRC provides information services on topics dealing with ethical and public policy issues in medicine and biomedical research. For HECs interested in developing and maintaining a set of core reference materials, the NRC can provide annotated bibliographies from its ScopeNote series and printouts from BIOETHICSLINE.

Updates of this bibliography may be obtained by searching the BIOETHICSLINE database, available through NLM's MEDLARS system. The database is available in print as the annual Bibliography of Bioethics. Both are produced by the Kennedy Institute of Ethics at Georgetown UNiversity.
