## Abstract Groups of earthworms __(Eisenia foetida)__ were injected either with 1% methyleholanthrene (MCA), 0.5% 7β12, Dimethylbenz (a) anthracene (DMBA) or 3 Γ 10^β4^ mg of NβmethylβNβnitrosoguanadine (NMNG), After one week, the posterior ten segments were removed from all worms. Twentyβfive day
