β¦ Synopsis
The sedimentat, ion data of Gandhisagar Reservoir is presented a n d discussed. About. 4.3 yL gross capacity of G:inrlhisag:~r Heservoir wail lost due to accelerated scdiinentation from 1962 t o 1075. Grain size analysis shows taliat thc sediment, consisted of 40.80 percent clay, 51.99 percent silt, 6.30 percent sand, 1.12 percent gravel. Suitablc measures to prevent scdimentntion are suggest,cd.

The sorption behavior of chlorobenzene on marine sediments treated by different methods was investigated. Through experiments on three factors (temperature, sediment organic carbon content, and media) that might affect the sorption behavior of chlorobenzene, some important conclusions were obtained.
