✦ Synopsis
A soil overlying Carboniferous Galcarenites in Anglesey has a clay fraction dominantly of kaolinite in contrast to the illitechlorite assemblages generally characteristic of North Wales soils. From the mineralogy and field. evidence this soil IS interpreted as resulting from Late Glacial in situ weathering of the underlying rocks. k l .
