Sedang (Vietnamese XΖ‘ Đăng) is a member of the North Bahnaric branch of the Mon-Khmer language family (Austro-Asiatic macro-family). Sedang is particularly close to Rengao, Halang, Jeh, MΖ‘nΓ’m, Kayong, HrΓͺ and TΖ‘drah (all members of the North Bahnaric group). The Sedang live in central Kon Tum province in the south Vietnam central highlands, but also in eastern Laos.
