Representatives of the Hooven, Owens, Rentschler Company appeared before the Committee and explained the operation of the Automatic Typewriter. No. 2684.--The Schoop Metal Spraying Process.
A representative of The Metals Coating Company of America appeared before the Committee and showed samples of various substances that had been coated by this process.

D. C., read a paper on " Some Effects of High Pressure." The apparatus used for the production, application and measurement of high pressures--pressures as high as 3o,ooo atmospheres--was described, and certain parts of the apparatus were exhibited. The influence of high pressures on such properties
