C. E. I~lewell, Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering in the University of Pennsylvania, presented a communication on " Industrial Lighting." Modern industrial lighting was discussed, with special consideration of its physical and psychological aspects, and of its relation to industrial management, accident prevention, and wartime problems. Attention was paid to existing codes of factory lighting and their effective administration. The lecture was illustrated with lantern slides. A vote of thanks was extended to Professor Clewell. After some remarks by Doctor I-Ioadley, the meeting adjourned.
