## Abstract Leukostasis is a relatively uncommon but potentially catastrophic complication of acute myelogenous leukemia (AML). Prompt leukoreduction is considered imperative to reduce the high mortality rate in this condition. Leukapheresis, usually associated with chemotherapy, is an established
