β¦ Synopsis

Seasonal variations in frequency distribution of daily totals of short-wave solar radiation. Agric. Meteorol., 25 : 267--274.
The frequency distribution of solar radiation expressed as daily apparent transmissivity (T), is distinctly non-normal but can be adequately described by a bounded distribution involving four parameters, namely: the lower and upper limits of T, which are practically constant through the year, and the coefficients of skewness and kurtosis, which vary in a fairly orderly manner through the year. The use of this distribution in agricultural research is discussed.
