The seasonal and spatial distribution of vitamin Blz was investigated in Eastern Mediterranean (Saronicos Gulf, Aegean Sea). Vitamin El2 concentration had an annual rangeO.12-7.93 ng. 1' ' and an annual mean 1.88 ng.1-I. The statistical analysis ofdata indicated significant seasonal and regional variations ofvitamin Blz in this area and an inverse relationship of this vitamin with chl a. The results showed that the Eastern Mediterranean Sea contains less vitamin Blz than the Western Mediterranean Sea.
