The actual best limits on the missing mixing angle ΞΈ13 are coming from the reactor experiment at Chooz, France. In this paper the prospectives of future reactor experiments in this field are shown. The main idea is to use two detectors at the same time, with a close one which is monitoring the react

β¦ Synopsis
After the discovery of neutrino oscillations, two angles of the leptonic unitary mixing matrix have been determined. However, for Ξ 13 only upper limits exist. The best constraints have been obtained in the reactor oscillation experiment CHOOZ. By reducing statistical as well as systematical uncertainties, the sensitivity on Ξ 13 of new reactor experiments can be improved by one order of magnitude. This article focuses on the proposed reactor experiment DOUBLE-CHOOZ.
