A composition for producing a gasket has been developed. It consists of an elastomer that is curable by an energy ray. The gasket possesses improved breaking elongation and inhibits cracking, breakage or the like. The compound has a (meth)acryloyl group and a polythiol compound with 2-6 mercapto groups per molecule. A specific application that includes the gasket -a hard disk device -is also discussed.
