The invention relates to an elastomer seal such as an oil-pan gasket or a cylinder-head cover gasket. It contains a metallic supporting element (2), which serves to hold fastening bolts (7) placed in through-holes (5) in the elastomeric gasket. A projection (8) retains the bolt.
