โœฆ Synopsis


This patent describes a form of packing for a gland which is designed to dispense lubricant during operation. It comprises a hollow section of extruded elastomer with detachable running track of fibrous material such as aramid.

The elastomer provides a resilient base for the fibrous material. An arrangement is also included for the distribution of lubricant to adjacent packing rings.
