Am I still stunned or is this really meaningful? But perhaps this is unfair. There is much in this book that is valuable and stimulating, and Dr. Gunn is undoubtedly correct in arguing, at times almost passionately, for a greater understanding of the many causes of violent behaviour in man. With the hope that the author's next work will be more tightly disciplined this book can, in the meantime, be warmly commended to a rather specialized readership.
