A mass assignment based ID3 algorithm for learning probabilistic fuzzy decision trees is introduced. Fuzzy partitions are used to discretize continuous feature universes and to reduce complexity when universes are discrete but with large cardinalities. Furthermore, the fuzzy partitioning of classifi

✦ Synopsis
The authors of this brief report have developed a remarkably useful aid for diagnostic thinking when using the DC: 0 -3 classification system. The decision-making schemas they present for Axes I, II, and V are particularly helpful for training new users, but also can be valuable for guiding the seasoned clinician. As the authors note, a colorcoded version is downloadable from the Web site they have established; in addition, we are pleased to note that the schemas also will be available from the ZERO TO THREE Web site.
