Abstract
A full‐wave analysis is presented for the scattering problem from a frequency‐selective surface (FSS) comprised of a periodic array of conducting patch elements on two dielectric layers. The formulation is carried out in the spectral domain, where the convolution form of the integral equation for the induced current is reduced to an algebraic one. This equation is then solved with the use of the immittance approach and the moment method in the spectral domain. A set of entire‐domain basis functions is included in the expansion for the unknown induced current. This analysis is computationally efficient. Numerical and experimental results are presented. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 33: 57–61, 2002; DOI 10.1002/mop.10231
