Abstract
The article illustrates numerical and experimental analyses of microwave spatial filters, designed to reduce human exposure to electromagnetic fields in living environments. The identified technological solution makes use of periodic structures with frequency selective behavior. To demonstrate its applicability, some prototypes were designed, manufactured, and measured, thanks to the identification of a dedicated setup. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
