Abstract

The reflection and transmission characteristics of a circular‐to‐rectangular single T‐junction are analyzed. The techniques of Fourier transform and mode matching are used for the analysis. An approximate dominant‐mode solution is derived in a closed form. Computations show that our result is numerically efficient and accurate, and thus will be useful for practical application. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
