โฆ Synopsis
Scaling laws for rotational energy transfer may be xrirrcn for transfer of polarintion as well as for transfer of population.
Here we derive an expression, based on the sudden scaling relarions. for the transfer of shade mulripoles following energy transfer Some current fitting laws are tested using Liz/He, Li$Ar circular polarisation datx We find rhar polarisarion ratios provide a more stringent test of scaling and fitting relations than do unpolarised intensiries and that the power _gsp law I-iclds the best fit f-r both sets of data examined here.
