✦ Synopsis

The scalar meson exchange in 4 ----t P"Poy decays is discussed in a chiral invariant framework where the scalar meson poles are incorporated explicitly. 4 -+ z"7roy and Q -+ no777 are in agreement with recent experimental data and can be used to extract valuable information on the properties of fo( 980) and ao(980) respectively. 4 -+ K°Koy is shown not to pose a background problem for testing Cl' violation at Da@ne. The ratio 4 -+ fo~/ao+y is also predicted.
