✦ Synopsis

The f0(1500) is identified in three glueball favoured production mechanisms: pl6 annihilation, ~b --~ 7f0 and Central Production. The production rate for glueballs in Β’ ~ 7G has been quantified and the f0( 1500) is found to be consistent with a glueball -q~ mixture. We illustrate a remarlmble property of central production where kinematic cuts appear to make a systematic separation between glueballs and Β₯/of the same jPC. When the cut favouring glueballs is applied, the f0(1500) and other enigmatic states appear prominently while confirmed Β₯/states are empirically suppressed.

Although marginally more complicated than the traditional Laplace sum-rules, gaussian sumrules have the advantage of being able to probe excited and ground states with similar sensitivity. Gaussian sum-rule analysis techniques are applied to the problematic scalar glueball channel to determine masse
