A beautiful young woman is critically injured in a car accident in the early hours of the morning, on the way home from a party – the doctors gave her no chance of survival.

After spending eighteen months in a coma, and against all the odds, the young woman awakens to find that she doesn’t know who she is, can’t remember anything, can’t speak and can’t move. But she has family and friends who provide support and help her to recover.

As her fragile condition improves and she gets stronger, she begins to discover that she has abilities that were once the preserve of fantasy. These abilities develop and grow, but at the same time draws the attention of those who wish to remain hidden, those who have spent decades hiding and blending into human society, those who will stop at nothing to remove any threat to them.

The young woman has no option but to flee from this threat, although she has no idea where to go or what to do.
