## Abstract The volume change, Ξ”__V__~__h__~,~,~ accompanying the hydrophobic hydration associated with the volume phase transition in Poly(__N__‐isopropylacrylamide) gels was measured by a simple method. The hydration accompanies a negative Ξ”__V__~__h__β€²~βˆ’2.5 cm^3^/mol. The __P‐T__ phase diagram,
