✦ Synopsis
The effect of sample size on magnetic flux expulsion in field cooling experiments has been studied on YBa2Cu307_ X single crystals sliced parallel to the basal plane in several steps. A simple model is proposed which describes the process of magnetic flux expulsion out of hard superconductors. Qualitative agreement of the obtained results with the model is demonstrated.
