DL'RISG the last few ycars thc clinical aspect of sacculi or acquired diwrticula of the colon, and the secondary changes consequent on inflammation of them, have been so frequently referred t o that the condition is now familiar t o all. To show the common site of nacciili-appearing at a point whem the vessels perforate the muscle Lisaue and come to lie under the miicous membrane.
The etiological side, however-at any rate in this country-has been neglected, for ive are still in the dark as to their true origin, and there are many differing t,heories concerning their causation.
