✦ Synopsis
Additional minor alkaloidal constituents of sabadilla have been isolated from veratrine. Four of these were obtained as symmetrical countercurrent distribution peaks. A fifth, sabadene, was obtained in crystalline form. Sabadene possessed no hypotensive pro erties. The investigation also notes the existence of extremely minor quantities of unresolved constituents. A review of the relationship of all reported sabadilla alkaloids is presented.
