The (0 -0) band of the B ˜2A 1 -X ˜2A 1 transition of CaOCH 3 at 565 nm has been recorded and analyzed at Doppler limited resolution (FWHM ϭ 0.005 cm Ϫ1 ). The molecule was generated using a laser ablation/molecular beam source in which a solid calcium rod was ablated and a mixture of argon seeded w

✦ Synopsis
We report the laser excitation and dispersed fluorescence spectra of the A ˜2E 4 X ˜2A 1 transition of the jet-cooled MgCH 3 radical. Improvements to the experiment have allowed the observation of 6 0 1 and 2 0 1 vibronic features not previously observed. Analyses of these bands, along with the previously reported 0 0 0 spectra, yield the rotational constants and values of the Coriolis and the spin-orbit coupling constants for the radical's A ˜2E state. We also are able to rather completely characterize a small, dynamic Jahn-Teller effect. The dispersed fluorescence spectrum was analyzed and all observed X ˜2A 1 state vibrational features were assigned.

The 000-000 and 3 1 0 bands of the 775-nm electronic transition of YC 2 ( Ã2 A 1 ← X2 A 1 ) have been studied at high resolution, using the laser-induced fluorescence from a supersonic jet expansion. Three types of experiment have been carried out. First, the complete rotational and hyperfine struct
The extended stretch-bender Hamiltonian, incorporating spin-orbit coupling and overall rotation, has been used to calculate the spin-vibronic structure of the rovibronic energies in the region where the vibronic states of the excited à 2 A 1 electronic state of NH 2 interact with near-resonant high-
