✦ Synopsis
The rotatory dispersion of the p-form of polypeptides is considered. The parameter bo of the Moffit-Yang equation is calculated quantum mechanically. The results obtained bo = -330, agrees with experiment which gives bo near zero for the p-form.

A two-term Drude equation was proposed to be substituted for the Moffitt-Yang equation as an empirical expression in order to analyze and regenerate observed optical rotatory dispersion (ORD) curves of synthetic polypeptides and proteins. A convenient graphical method was introduced to evaluate four
Various spiroacetals with S chirality at the spiro center exhibit positive ORD plain curves, while the R enantiomers show ne gative ones.
