β¦ Synopsis
T11c well-known van der Waals system formed by the highly polat HF molecule and the helium atom is studied theoretically from the point of view of the rotationally prcdissociative behaviour of its bound states. A potential cner_q surface for its rigid-rotor representation is employed to generate the necessary bound and continuum states via three different proccdures. The I;encrrlly weak atom-diatom couplings and the widely spaced rotational levels of the isolated diarom are found to be mostly responsible for the caistcncc of well-spaced. nearIs isol-ated n31=0w reson~ces.
