## Abstract The NMR spectra of 1,1‐dichloro‐2,2‐difluoroethane (**1**), 1,1‐dibromo‐2,2‐difluoroethane (**2**), __meso__ and __dl__ 1,2‐dichloro‐1,2‐difluoroethane (**3**) and 1,1,2,2‐tetrachloroethane (**4**) have been analysed in a number of solvents. The ^19^F spectrum of **3** in L‐bornyl aceta
