The emission spectrum of La'% has been photographed at high resolution and the rotational constants of the O-O band at 5600 A ati reported. The transition is assigned as %-2 Cps and the fine doubiing seen in the spectrum is attributed to magnetic hyperfme structure. The ground state is reported as a good example of a b,?+s coupling use and uncoupling leading to a r)pr case has not been detected.
