The rate constants for collisional quenching of Oz(b 'x:) by COz, NzO. NO, NHs_ HCl and SOz. and of Oz(a '+.I by NO. NH3 and HCl have been measured at room tempera& by studying 'he emissions of singlet moleculx a\pg.en at 762 and 634 nm in D flowing discharge. The rate constant for deactivation of 02(n ' rl ) s by SO?. determined from c\tnpolntion of hi:&-temperature data, is also reported. A comparison is made with previous results.
