β¦ Synopsis

. A new synthetic route to isothiocyanate containing materials is presented. Five isothiocyanate 4-methylpyridine β₯-picoline Ε½ . compounds were prepared by refluxing metal powders Fe, Co, Ni and Cu with thiourea in β₯-picoline. The isothiocyanate ligand q y w Ε½ . Ε½ . x is generated in situ by the isomerization of thiourea to NH SCN at reflux temperatures. The complexes Fe NCS pic ΠΈ pic 4 2 4 Ε½ . w Ε½ . Ε½ . x Ε½ . w Ε½ . Ε½ . x Ε½ . w Ε½ .
