Differential patterns of distribution of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) are observed in the cerebral nuclei and fiber tracts of Calotes versicolor. The majority of the nuclei reveal a positive reaction for AChE varying from moderate t o intense. In contrast, almost all
