โฆ Synopsis
The Golgi complex of adrenocortical cells may participate in the regulation of steroidogenesis by (1) concentrating and redistributing intracellular cholesterol, (2) controlling paracrine and autocrine secretion or release, and (3) intracellular sorting and recycling of membrane components, to optimize responsiveness of adrenocortical cells to extracellular stimuli.

## Abstract Cellular junctions play important roles in cell differentiation, signal transduction, and cell function. This study investigated their function in steroid secretion by adrenal cells. Immunofluorescence staining revealed the presence of gap junctions and adherens junctions between adrena
The problem for the steroidogenic cell if it is to accelerate steroid synthesis in response to trophic stimulation, consists in moving cholesterol from the sites of synthesis and storage to mitochondria at an accelerated rate. The most intensely studied situation is that in which the sterol is store
## Abstract We have developed methods for the isolation of Golgi apparatus from a number of mammalian tissues. The Golgi is distinct both chemically and enzymatically from the other membranes of the cell. For both liver and kidney, galactosyltransferase has been found to be a useful marker enzyme f
