✦ Synopsis

The d-vector in possible spin triplet superconductor Na x CoO 2 Á yH 2 O is microscopically analyzed on the basis of the multi-orbital Hubbard model including the atomic spin-orbit coupling. As a result of the perturbation theory, it is shown that the d-vector is parallel to the plane when the pairing symmetry is p-wave, while both dkxy and dkz are possible in the f-wave state. We point out that the multiple phase transitions are expected under the in-plane magnetic field when the pairing symmetry is p-wave.

In the latest twenty years, the search for a source of spinpolarized electrons is an area of current active research [1][2][3][4][5][6][7], due to the feasibility of spin polarization and spin filtering within a two-dimensional electron gas which was proposed by Papp and Peeters [8,9] based on the c
